Welcome to CharterCARE Health of Rhode Island
We’re proud to announce that Roger Williams Medical Center and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital are now part of CharterCARE Health of Rhode Island, under local, non-profit ownership. Commitment to Community Health
As a newly local, non-profit health system, our promise is simple: to put patients and community first in every decision we make. Beyond the walls of our hospitals, this means investing in programs that promote wellness, expand access, and improve quality of life for all Rhode Islanders.
Whether it’s strengthening primary care, advancing specialty services, or building partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and neighborhood organizations, our focus is on being more than a healthcare provider—we are an active community partner. We believe that when our community thrives, so do our patients.
In addition, CharterCARE conducts a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years to better understand and respond to evolving needs. Working in collaboration with the Rhode Island Department of Health and other local organizations, we identify priorities and develop programs that address the most pressing challenges facing our neighbors.
We are CharterCARE Health of Rhode Island—and we care for you.
